Weeee! I'm done!

WHOOP!

It's official...I'm a graduate!

This past Friday I graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Biology (also summa cum laude with University and Foundation honors). It was an absolutely beautiful day, too! A bunch of my family came in (and Randy too!) and sat through the horribly long ceremony.....now that's love :) We then all had dinner together and got to visit. Yay!

It's a relief to be done :) Now I'm off to home for a while, then back to CS for med school. I can't wait!

Ring Dance!

This past weekend was Ring Dance, the great big A&M celebration for seniors. We get to get all dressed up, take a picture with a giant ring (not posted, that'll come in the mail), and turn our Aggie Rings to face the world! Randy and I met up with our friends Chad and Allison and took lots of pictures around campus, then met up with 2 more friends, Ryan and Christina, for dinner. We ate at Christopher's, this amazing resaturant out in the middle of nowhere College Station, but I understand why people make the trip...it was wonderdful!!! Then we went to the actual dance that took up a good portion of the MSC and Rudder. There were several dance rooms (which of course I love!), a casino, and at the end, our final yell practice! We bumped into so many people there, some who I hadn't seen since freshman year, but it was a real ball!

Oh, hail!

This already happened a couple days ago, but I had to share the picks. The other night it began to rain. I started to here a few clicks on the window, then just pounding! I ran as quickly as I could in my pj's to move my car. The hail, almost golf-ball sized was a-comin' down! My car still got pelted, but hopefully most of the small dents will pop out in the heat. Check out the size of these ice chunks!!!

Long time...no blog! Here's April!

Well the month of April is just zooming by. I haven't taken a whole lot of pictures or had a lot of time to blog, so I figured I'd do a quick catch up (it's not like I write alot anyways ;) ).

For Easter we all went home to Lorena (it's the first Easter away from the grandparents, but we went the next weekend don't worry. Son's new girl came home too and so did Randy. It was a pretty good time all around. Sunday we went to mass in the morning then went and spent the day at the lake where we even had an egg hunt! I got gyped, but whatever, it was still fun :)

This past weekend we went to East Bernard and celebrated my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. Now that was good times. Saturday night we had a crawfish boil in the barn (yum!) and then watched old home movies. My Aunt Sue even put together a sweet little DVD highlighting all of my grandparents' memories together. In the background was ELvis singing "memories"...very appropriate since they were married in '56! We also had cake and got to watch another uncle's new video of Van Halen live in '89 in Japan. I really hope Sammy Hagar has invested in some new pants since then...gross. The next morning we went to a special little mass and then went to a buffet brunch thing in Eagle Lake. You put alot of Kreneks together and you are bound to have fun!

The rest of my time I am usually dancing (I teach once a week, have performance team once a week, and then social at least once a week...yipes) or maybe working on some school stuff. I have two papers due this week that I should be working on so I think I am going to stop here.

Everyone should leave me messages ;)

Bluebonnets!

This weekend Randy and I met up with our buddies Susie and Paul and went bluebonnet hunting! They've been blooming for a while now and since I saw the first ones pop up along highway 6, I've wanted to stop. We ended up finding a whole bunch in Brenham where we had wanted to tour the Bluebell facorty (that was closed). We also went by Washington on the Brazos near Navasota. We've gone there the past two years to picninc and have some fun, but this year there were hardly any flowers. It was really sad. We're not quite sure if we just had bad timing or if they didn't bloom well there this year. Regardless we still managed to have a great time! :)

I think this one should totally go on the cover of a magazine, don't you?
